A Chinese Indonesian engineer said this of his Indian manager "Indian managers treat their subordinates like they treat their servants at home." (This Indian manager had five servants at home which he explained to me as the norm for an expatriate in Indonesia: a driver, 2 maid servants who always come in pairs, a cook and a watchman)
